Getting Your Numbers
BC/49 is played throughout the Province of British Columbia, Canada.
Pick up a ticket at any lottery retailer (or play on-line, if you are a resident) and select SIX numbers from 1 to 49.
If you don't want to pick your own numbers, you can have the terminal computer (Quick Pick) choose your numbers.
You can also buy tickets in advance -- up to 26 consecutive draws.
Tickets cost $1 for each 6 number combination
A Lottery Subscription can be purchased for up to 104 draws.
The Draw
Every Wednesday and Saturday evening, SIX numbers plus ONE BONUS number are drawn.
Draws take place at approximately 7 p.m. Pacific time.
Prizes must be claimed within 12 months of the draw.
Prizes can only be redeemed in British Columbia.
Jackpots
Jackpots are always $2 Million and are NOT carried over.
If there is more than ONE winner, then the Jackpot is shared among all winners.
The chances of winning the Jackpot are 1:13,983,816. Although every ticket is supposed to have the same chance of winning, if you examine the statistics in this website, you will that notice that any number starting with 20 or greater has less than a 1% chance of winning. For those numbers ending with 31 or lower, they also have less than a 1% chance of winning.
